First Aid at Work (4 Days)
The First Aid at Work (statutory) course complies with the current Health and Safety (First Aid_ Regulations 1981. Successful students receive certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders in the workplace for the next three years.
First Aid at Work - requalifying (2 Days)
This course refreshes and updates the First Aid skills of those who need to renew their First Aid at Work (statutory) certificate and whose existing certificate is still valid. First Aiders whose certificates have expired must attend the full four-day First Aid at Work course.
Emergency First Aid (Formally Known as Appointed Persons) (1 Day)
This course is usually for small low risk environments, where there is no legal requirement for a first aider but there is a person appointed to take charge in case of medical emergency. It is also suitable for persons giving additional support to First Aiders.
First Aid in Schools (1 Day)
This one day course is designed for teachers and school ancilliary staff and is tailored to meet the typical injuries and emergency situations often encountered in the school environment.
First Aid for Playground Supervisors (2 Hours)
This short course is designed to give basic first aid skills to persons with supervisory responsibility for children during play time activities.It covers common minor accidents and medical conditions.
BLS for GP and Dental Practices - (2 Hours)
This course meets the recommended NHS "Best Practice" for annual/tri-annual BLS refresher training for clinical/non-clinical staff attached to GP and dental surgeries.
Automated External Defibrillators (AED) Training (4 or 6 Hours)
Over 150,000 people die from cardiac arrests in the UK each year. The majority might be saved if only their heart could be defibrillated (shocked back into rythm) within five minutes. An Automated External Defibrillator - with trained operator - at the site of a sudden cardiac arrest can raise the chance of survival dramatically.
Emergency Life Supprt (4 Hours)
This 4 hour course provides candidates with basic life support skills the ability to recognise and treat serious injuries and medical conditions.
