About Us.

The Chapeltown Baths Community Business (CBCB) was founded in 1996 as a result of the threat of potential closure of the facility from Sheffield City Council (SCC).

A Trust was formed from Local Residents and Users of the facility and together with Grant Funding Assistance from SCC and Ecclesfield Parish Council (EPC) it has enabled us to continue operating the facility for the benefit of the Community.

We are now entering our eleventh year and would like to continue to upgrade the facilities to benefit our users.

Thanks to the exceptional efforts of the Board past and present, together with the grants and the generosity of the people of Chapeltown and surrounding areas we have been able to :

• Replace aged and failing boilers
• Redecorate the Changing Rooms
• Install new lockers, hairdryers, baby changing facilities & notice boards
• Refurbish the Fitness Suite together with new Fitness equipment
• Redecorate Reception, the Training Room & develop a Therapy Suite
• Installed liquid thermal Pool Cover to assist in saving heat loss & evaporation
• Replace changing room windows
• Refurbished Gents & Ladies shower areas
• Upgraded the Building Management System to help control the temperatures of pool water air & water supplies:
• Fitted easy access steps into the pool for the not so able, and children:
  We are now in a position where we need to carry out some major works:
  • Make our facility ‘Disabled Friendly’
  • Decorate the pool hall ceiling
  • Resurface ladies & gents changing room floors
  • Replace the main pool hall windows
